Our Assistant Laparoscopic Surgeons
SALSA is pleased to announce its association with several local, well-respected surgeons in the Sacramento area. We are pleased to announce that the following surgeons assist Donald J Waldrep, MD, FACS, FASMBS as he performs minimally invasive bariatric surgery. Some of these surgeons are: Howard Boone, M.D., Don Van Boerum, M.D., and Donald Peterson, M.D.
Dr. Boone began studying medicine at the University of Tennessee in 1965 and completed his residency as Chief Resident in General Surgery at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco in 1975.
Since then, Dr. Boone has been in private General Surgery practice in Truckee, California where he is an active member of the medical staff at Tahoe Forest Hospital, Eastern Plumas District Hospital, and here at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
Additionally, Dr. Boone makes regular treks to Guatemala as an active member of the medical staff of Hospital de la Familia in Nuevo Progreso, Guatemala.
Dr. Boone has served on the Board of Directors of Tahoe Forest Hospital, and on the Board of Trustees for the California Association of Hospital & Health Systems and the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California.
We're excited to have Drs. Boone, Van Boerum, and Peterson assisting us during this time of transition and are pleased with the level of expertise that these doctors bring to each and every patient.
